Famous Guriev porridge (or Guriev kasha) which has also name “Tsar- kasha” was a favorite dish of Alexander III. This dish is more like a dessert than porridge. Cream of wheat, clotted cream, dried fruits, caramelized nuts, berries… Vladimir Gilyarovsky wrote about this porridge while describing Moscow taverns of 19th century!
It is Guriev porridge which you could taste in "Med and Pryanost`" coffeehouse now. You can find it in a special chef`s menu. There you can also find:
